Saturday, August 27th meet Sunbury Press publisher and author Lawrence Knorr at our store from 10-6. Lawrence has authored or co-authored over 20 books, mostly on history or biography. He is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR), the Sons of the American Revolution, and numerous other historical organizations. He enjoys most writing about the formerly famous and his beloved Pennsylvania Dutch culture and is a lifetime Penn State alum. Don’t miss the special half-price sale on new books that will be taking place and check out all of the local/regional history and older, rare, Pennsylvania Dutch history books for sale, too. You can even get your favorite Lawrence Knorr book personally signed!
Sunday, August 28th meet author and former editor-in-chief for the Reading Eagle Newspaper in Reading, PA, Harry J. Deitz Jr. at our store from 12-4. After following his father’s footsteps by going into newspaper work, Harry J. Deitz, Jr. worked for 45 years as a photographer, sportswriter, sports editor, design editor, and editor before he retired in 2018. He has served as president and board member of the Pennsylvania Newsmedia Association and the Pennsylvania Associated Press Managing Editors and has won numerous awards for his columns, sportswriting, and newspaper design work. In his spare time, he has hiked the entire Pennsylvania section of the Appalachian Trail and has read every book by novelist Ken Follett. Get your favorite Dietz work personally autographed!
